A small village situated in the valley of the river Luha about 1,5 km to the south of Jeseník nad Odrou along the main railway line Přerov - Bohumín. From 1850 Polouvsí was an independent village till 1975 when it was integrated into Jeseník nad Odrou. In 1980 there lived 231 inhabitants in 60 houses while in 1991 it was 211 inhabitants in 54 houses.
