The original capitular house with a preserved Renaissance entrance portal and vaulting was built in 1609 by the Cardinal Dietrichstein. There is a permanent archeological and nature scientific exposition installed in the museum, on the first floor the memorial of the notable native of Kroměříž, the painter Max Švabinský. Season exhibitions are held in the archway gallery and in the small gallery.

Open all-year round except Mondays: 9:00 - 12:00 and 1:00 p.m.- 5:00 p.m.
